Fringe On The Fringe . . . . . .

I could not be happier with my Rouenneries Fabric. I'm going to make an ocean waves quilt with some of the fabric. I think I also have enough fabric to make something else, to be determined later. There's something very interesting about this fabric that I have never seen before........

look, there's fringe on the fringe..... isn't it lovely!!

Here's a better picture of it!! What do I do with this? If someone has or has seen a clever way to use this fabric edge please let me know! I would hate to chop it all up THEN find out what I was supposed to do with it!

Also, I would like to add some green to this family, has anyone run across a good green that matches?

Thanks to All!!

  1. You could use it for a string/selvdge quilt/project.

I can't wait to see your version. I love this fabric, I even signed up for Le Jardin BOM.

  4. I am using a lot of Rouenneries in my Leftovers Again. I was just going to use that fringe part as it came when I cut. I love the faded reds, just looks so homey and comfy.

  5. You could use that portion of the edge for borders on a mini quilt. I did something like that from a panel fabric and it really added interest to the borders of my mini. All you need to do when cutting that fringe away is to be sure to keep your 1/4" seam allowance or a bit more if you want the printed fringe to show up better.

  6. That is lovely fabric. I have never seen the fringe on the fringe before. I am sure you can come up with something cool to use it for. The only thing I've seen is selvage projects which are kind of interesting. Definitely no waste...taking recycling to the extreme ;-))
