My sewing machine continues to collect dust in my sewing room. Since I've returned from Paducah I've spent the majority of my time in my sewing room cutting out a couple of projects but most evenings I continue to work on my Evening Bloom project.
Here's my progress on Evening Bloom, Block 3.
Finishing this blocks completes row 1, two more rows, six blocks, to go!
I'm working on Evening Bloom with a friend, we meet monthly to show our finished blocks and plot our strategy for the the next one.
So pretty, Thelma! I like the way you photographed each step in the applique process - building a design. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. One if these days I will get to hand appliqué too.
ReplyDeleteThese blocks are so beautiful...great job!
ReplyDeleteyummy..Thelma!! Love the steps view. I want to do some applique and am going slowly but love the look of applique ...thanks for sharing......
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous block Thelma ! You are doing a great job! I just love your choice of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteooooo!!!
ReplyDeleteYou applique is just beautiful, Thelma. Remember, it's a journey, and these blocks will mark this time in your journey to perfection!
ReplyDeleteVery fun! I have a friend that I do lots of projects together with - it adds a little something every time I look at the finished quilt. I think of her and our wonderful times quilting together.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I loved the step by step photos!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you take pictures like that! remember when we were young and had those little bitty books that we would thumb through the pages and it would be like watching a movie?...or am I completely dating myself! ha! While I am cleaning a dirty room, I have often thought it would be fun to snap a picture every minute or so and watch the progress from messy/dirty to tidy/clean. I know...sick my kids tell me. sigh.....
ReplyDeleteYou rock!
ReplyDeleteCrazy Lovely! You are making such progress. I love it. I didn't realize how HUGE those blocks are. I got my pattern enlarged and realized that 28" (in my case) is HUGE. LOL! put things into perspective for me. I have not made one stitch on it but I'm okay with that. I'm living vicariously through your incredible work.
ReplyDeleteThelma your applique is great...I really like the bias strip stem. WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Your appliqué really looks amazing. Very neat. I hope you have a Happy Mother's Day, Thelma!
ReplyDeleteNice! The applique quilt I'm making with two blog buddies is going to be very special to me, and I'm sure yours will be to you as well. I am machine appliquing mine, but I think the hand work would be nicer. There just isn't time for everything!
ReplyDeleteyour work is just so beautiful. I love seeing the 2 different blocks I hope you will share them each month. its fun seeing how the different fabrics change the look
ReplyDeletethanks!
are you still dreaming about all the quilts at Paducah???
