Hubba Hubba I'm Lov'n my Hubbel!

I was worried about meeting my end of month deadline for my Schnibbles project, but I got lucky!  Not only did I pick a fun pattern, I picked an easy one!

Know what you get when you make 4 of these?

This!

How are you liking these colors?  I'm using Terrain by Kate Spain for Moda.

A little different for me but fun happy colors that I'm enjoying immensely.

I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any like fabrics touching on my star points so I laid the blocks out like this.

Then I labeled them.  See those little white triangles on those blocks, that's a number that corresponds to a number on the center that is already pieced.

I think I'm going to make the parade!

Just in case you missed an earlier post, the pattern is Hubble by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. You can buy it here.

  3. Your quilt experience on Hubble here is amazing. I always thought such a star impossible. After making 100 quilts I can now turn out a number of triangles per quilt and have them look decent. Not sure yet about every block being a HST but I love the star. Might just have to show myself I can do this. The colors are great with the white. My summer quilting program is white and brites to equal cool colored quilts. Great job, Thelma, and another good lesson for your readers. Stephani in N. TX (Tomazec@aol.com)

  4. Thelma,
I love your Hubble block. I noticed you changed the placement of the white HST in the center block. Was this a design decision. I can't wait to see your quilt top.

  5. Wow! Those colours are great. You can't go wrong with Moda. I think they are kind of like the Liberty House of the 21st century. Ok I remember going to fabric stores with my mom back in the 70's. Am I dating myself there? Haha

  6. Love the colors, it's beautiful. I have a stack of that material, maybe I need to make one of those too!

  7. LOVE!! I think I need to make as well. I haven't "studied" the pattern break down but it looks like a breeze! Just a lot of cutting. A colorful scrappy one would be fun.
