Even More Random Sewing

Remember this, my last ditch effort of summer sewing, no pattern, no plan?

Well I've now made a green one,

and an orange one.

One of what, I still have no idea, but I'm having fun and that's all that matters!!

I've also been piecing scrappy binding and quilt backs, that's not so fun!

It's football season, hip hip hurray, my favorite time of the year!  The first game is in the books and I'm counting the hours until Sunday, are you ready for some football, I am!!

  1. A really cute idea! A great way to use up scraps - Scraps Squared?!!

  2. Nice way to get some relaxing sewing time this becomes another great creation.....

  3. I'm with you Thelma. I love football season. That Bronco game was amazing last night.

  4. I searched and could not find it, but some designer recently published a similar pattern. I believe it was just that - making HSTs the same as you might make bow-ties or another repetitious pattern. Put in sets of 4's, and with the colorwork it's very distinctive. Yours will be a charmer Thelma, keep it going. Stephani in N. TX (

  5. I've so enjoyed seeing your hst blocks!!! You've inspired me to do that with my leftover triangles - just don't know when I'll get to it!!

I too love football!! Yeah Denver won!!

  6. Love the HST's. The colors are so nicely balanced. I'm sure you will think of some way to use these :-)

  7. Love this! I think I'm going to try it and set it on the diagonal so they look like flocks of birds in flight. Great way to use up scraps!

  8. Love these triangles! What size are they? My imagination is in overdrive!!!!!

  9. WOW, that's a lot of HST's! I can't wait to see what you make with your pretty blocks.

  10. Sometimes you just have to cut loose! XOXO

I try to respond to all my comments but sometimes I just don't get the job done. Please know that I am reading your comments and appreciate you taking the time to add a little of yourself to my blog.
