More Black Coffee

I whipped through those smaller half square triangle units in no time.

You know my favorite method for perfect hsts, make 'em big and square'em up!

Here is one big star block with 4 smaller star blocks.

I think the only other colored background I have ever used was red, but I agree with you, that black is a great match for that American Jane fabric, it does seem to just light up against that background.

We are not enjoying fall weather where I live, winter has arrived and our trees still have green leaves.  I wonder if they'll turn this year or just fall off, time will tell.  I hope you're having a beautiful and colorful fall where you live, enjoy it for me!

  4. yes, black makes a great background choice - the Amish were onto something I think!! And these blks look like fun to do. You are making good progress, keep it up and have a great, uh, winter weekend I guess for you.... I am still in 'fall' but the 's' word is in the forecast for Sunday - yuck - but sounds like it is not staying which is unusual for this area..... so, here is to making the best of being inside when the snow is out!! Sew, see you later!! ;-)

  12. I don't believe I've ever used a black background but I sure like it - just like MY coffee, but a tad sweetner. You have plenty of sweet going on here!!
And as for the last comment on Fall..... No, I was not ready for fall or winter, it turned pretty cold here also. We are going on a train ride tomorrow though, something we've been wanting to do for a few years. Our color is just turning here so hoping to see some in the higher elevations. Our grandson moved into our FL house, I'm thinking I should give him notice to move.......... I'm thinking I don't want the very long cold winter!!!
Back to my umpteen projects - let me see who's turn it is........

  13. Dazzling blocks! Agree that the only way to enjoy HSTs is to go bigger and trim. So sorry that you are missing fall colors.
