Even More Summer Wind

So the next border on my Summer Wind project is 24 stars and 4 alternate corner blocks.

I used my Fit to be Geese ruler to make  my flying geese units.

I stuck with my orange, green, and yellow theme for the star blocks,

but switched back to my pinks for the corner blocks,

which look like this.

Sinta at Pink Pincushion is sewing away on her Summer Wind now too.  We're using the same pattern and same fat quarter bundle, High Street by Lily Ashbury for Moda, but you would never guess it.  Sinta is leaning towards the conservative side and I'm speeding towards the wild side, but I love them both.

I can hardly wait to see these blocks on my quilt.

  1. Good progress and that ruler is such a big help doing so many different shapes. Love your color wave and guess there is some wild in me too! Can't wait to see those borders on now.

  2. This is going to be so gorgeous. It looks like only one more border. I love these colors too and think it will clash with all your red, so you should just send it on to me. :-D

  5. I love this color combination. It speaks to my soul down deep. You're making me want to bust out my High Street pre-cuts and do something with them but I'm not ready for that yet. Other things to focus on.

  8. I love your stars. Your theme seems to be working out very very nicely! You actually fussy cut the centers of those stars... they look great! I forgot my camera cord today... can't post a picture yet.

  13. Such fun following along and watching your wild side quilt progress! Do you cut your pieces for the flying geese units larger than the pattern calls for and then trim down or is what we see trimmings from the original sized pieces? I ask as I have that ruler but have yet to use it and there is a quilt in the near future that has many flying geese. Thanks for any input.
