This is my neighborhood, we live at the corner of corn and corn.....

When Cooper and I walk this is what we see..........more corn.
Some years it has been beans, this year corn. We have nothing to do with any of this corn, we just live in the middle of it.
This is where I sew
What's that sign on the door you wonder
I just love this print, I hope you have a quilt shop just like this in your neighborhood.
I have a dedicated sewing room, so I can usually sew for at least an hour or two a day. It sure is nice to be able to run up to my room, turn on the iron and sewing machine, and go. It's amazing sometimes what I can accomplish in a small amount of time.
Tuesdays are my sewing days, on Tuesdays I can get in at least 5 hours of uninterrupted sewing!!
On Tuesdays I wear my sewing shoes. I wear these shoes because I don't leave the house in them (I don't think women my age should be seen in public in Sketchers with pink sparkles but I LOVE THEM just the same) plus they have my orthotic inserts to make standing to press and cut fabric easier on my back.
But the best part about Tuesdays is that Cooper has doggy daycare!! I drive 45 minutes one way for Cooper to play with 25 other dogs, in a huge pole barn that is temperature controlled. Rain or shine he's playing with his friends, all shapes and sizes. He gets so excited about going he stands the whole ride down, just looking out the window. Cooper's been going to daycare since he was 6 months old. It's been just the best thing for us both. I get a day to do as I please and he gets to socialize with other dogs and people. Plus, he's so tired, after coming home, he sleeps like the dead all evening.
This is what the house looks like on days when I try to sew and Cooper is not at daycare
Trouble should be his middle name
This is the ride home from daycare
I don't schedule appointments, go out for lunch, clean house, do laundry, or pay bills. Nothing on Tuesdays but sewing. If I don't get something done on Monday it waits until Wednesday.
This is what I'm going to work on today.....just a little sneak peek of my September Schnibbles (I know what a surprise, red!). I'm hoping to get my flying geese done today.
Nothing but happy feet and fingers at my house today!!
