Christmas Tour Part 2 . . . .

Now for a little Christmas tour of the Living Room.

Here's the living room tree. It's a tall one.
I had a hard time getting a good picture of it.

It's mainly decorated in red, silver and gold.

Here's a better view of the top.

Here's the mantle.

I only decorate these window ledges at Christmas.

One of my favorite things in this whole room is Santa's hat on the bannister. He left it last year, but he'll be back so I'm leaving it out for him.
Sometimes the simplest things are the best.

  1. Simply elegant and beautiful. I, too, love Santa's hat on the end of the banister. Sweet touch!

  3. I must not let my husband see a picture of your very tall tree. He gets very jealous of anyone who has a bigger tree than we do. Every time he passes by our tree this year he says "Harumph. We should have gotten a bigger one".
Your home is just lovely Thelma!

  6. Thelma, you have a beautiful home, with or without the gorgeous decorations for the holidays. Your mantle is just amazing. How do you ever keep your white carpet clean?? With a dog, no less! I am envious of your tall tree. I would love a tall tree. Someday when we have a taller home, I suppose.
